Michael Rehme, Jr.

DDS, AIAOMT

“Dr. Michael” followed in his father’s footsteps, earning his dental degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2020. A 2011 graduate of DeSmet High School, he also holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Missouri, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

While in dental school, Dr. Michael became active in the IAOMT student program and served as student liaison during his third and fourth years.

Working in his father’s office since high school, Dr. Michael saw firsthand the difference a whole-body approach to dentistry can make. “I had many conversations with my dad through dental school,” he says, “about what he believed and what we were being taught. Through those conversations and my own research, I came to understand that dentistry must consider not only the mechanical function of teeth but also how dental procedures can influence overall health.”

Dr. Michael has developed a strong clinical focus on biologic dental surgery, including tooth extractions, bone regeneration, and ceramic implant placement. In 2025, completed the Tufts University Maxi Residency in Biological Dentistry, Biological Surgery, and Implantology, a program centered on guided open-wound healing principles as taught by Professor Shahram Ghanaati, one of the leading researchers and educators in biologic surgical techniques. At the time of completion, he was the only dentist in Missouri to have completed this program.

To further refine his surgical skills, Dr. Michael has pursued advanced training across the United States and internationally, studying with leaders in biologic and regenerative dentistry. His goal is to continually bring the most advanced, evidence-based surgical techniques back to his patients in St. Louis.

Outside the office, Dr. Michael lives in St. Louis with his wife Samantha and their three boys. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, and exploring local restaurants. They are also big fans of the St. Louis Blues and Mizzou athletics.
